The Seddon Project Team of the Year (£1m - £5m) has been named as Seddon’s North West construction team for their work on Tesito House, a £4 million treatment and recovery centre for vulnerable women in Ardwick, Manchester.
Delivered for health and social care charity, Alternative Futures Group (AFG), Tesito House is a unique 24-bedroom building designed and built to a high specification to provide an exemplary mental healthcare environment.
Seddon judges commended the excellent quality of the team’s submission, which demonstrated how the project was delivered on time and in budget, and included glowing client and design partner references.
The judges also praised the team’s collaborative approach working, community liaison and commitments to health and safety and skills development.
Ed Wootton, regional director for North West construction at the Bolton-based company, commented: "We have built a very strong reputation across the region and beyond for delivering high profile community projects on budget and in time.
"The Tesito House team has played a part in making sure local women have the very best care facilities for many years to come. They truly deserve this recognition.”
Karen Wilson, managing director of AFG, said: "Seddon managed to truly understand our need to create a tranquil and relaxing facility in the middle of a busy urban space and delivered this for us. I wish to express our sincere gratitude and to thank the team for all that they have done.”
